The Communications Planning Coordinator supports the Communications Planning Manager with integrated planning, delivery and execution initiatives across the Engagement and Experience Network and St John Ambulance.

The post holder engages with the wider External Communications Team on communications reporting and supports the team with raising awareness of St John's brand and impact as well as the engagement of key audiences through supporting the delivery of campaigns and events.

About You:


  • Experience of writing, editing and proofreading communications tailored to different audiences and channels
  • Experience of supporting 360 communications for campaigns, events, projects or programmes and effectively managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Strong data analysis capability with experience of measuring and reporting on communications impact and using analytics to inform future strategy and approach
  • Exemplary written communication skills with the ability to tailor content to a variety of audiences and advanced proofreading skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and collaborate with key and senior stakeholders and align decisions to organisational objectives

About The Role:


  • Supporting the Communications Planning Manager with planning, delivery, and execution of integrated communication initiatives across St John whilst acting as the point of contact across the charity for all upcoming communication events and campaigns
  • Monitoring the St John communications grid to ensure communications are planned in line with key projects and critical campaigns
  • Collaborating with the External Communications Team and wider St John teams (including Marketing, Fundraising and Volunteering) to support with aligning communications activities
  • Managing data extraction and analytics to measure impact through postproject evaluations
