A retail SME company (25 million turnover) based in Nottingham is looking for a Financial Controller to work with an entrepreneurial Managing Director.

This role can quickly progress into a Finance Director position as you prepare to the business for salein in circa 5 years time.

You will manage a small finance team and have a strategic focus but a willingness to be hands on.

Your duties will include:

  • Produce management accounts.
  • Budgets and forecasts.
  • Cash flow modelling.
  • Financial analysis.
  • Statutory accounting.
  • VAT
  • Preparation of Board packs.
  • Management of small team.
  • Supervision of transactional accounting and payroll.
About You

  • You will be a qualified accountant with SME experience in a similar handson role.
  • Fully qualified in ACCA/CIMA/ACA
  • Commercially minded with an ambition to become a Finance Director
