The Remarketing Team at ALD provide a range of end of contract process and services that results in ALD vehicles being re-sold through targeted re-marketing channels.

Some of the core team activity includes:


  • Owning the transport and logistics provision for ALD to ensure all vehicles are moved, stored or collected to time and quality.
  • Remarketing and reselling the vehicles through various channels ranging from traditional auctions through to new digital channels serving both the trade and retail customers.
  • Delivering quality administration to ensure all vehicles are both processed effectively & efficiently.
  • Managing a lean and effective supply chain with a real focus on ensuring partnerships and 3rd party suppliers contribute towards ALD business objectives (e.g. stock management, commercial propositions)
  • As a result of reorganisation and progression within the department we're currently seeking an addition to this thriving department.

Key Purpose

  • Develop, integrate & own the implementation of new remarketing digital channels into ALD (e.g. trade, partner repatriation, and consumer). Look to embed best practice disposal principles and customer account management to grow this channel.
  • Act as a principle sales executive providing guidance, leadership and effective operational control over the day to day running of the remarketing sales channels.
  • Support the coordination of vehicle and channel allocation to maximise both channel and stocking objectives.
  • Work closely with remarketing stakeholders and the supply chain team to leverage further business efficiencies, enhance sale performance, whilst minimising risk.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery and management of ALD digital channels (e.g. ALD Carmarket & ALD Select). Working closely with the Remarketing Operations team ensure all vehicles are both allocated and sold swiftly in line with preset goals and targets. Particularattention is to be placed on the sale programme / calendar, sale utilisation and vehicle conversion to ensure stock holding is kept to a minimum.
  • Track a range of core business indicators, measures and reporting to actively improve sales performance and customer satisfaction. Work with the wider Remarketing team to design new dashboards and reporting methods.
  • Take on direct accountability for both managing existing customer relationships and building new business. This will include the full management of a customer from initial lead generation through to onboarding and onwards to exceptional aftersales.
  • Enhance the (digital) marketing capability and customer / operational insight to support local campaign and marketing activity.
  • Support specific business reviews to investigate and recommend areas for continuous improvement or business change. This includes building ALD Carmarket into a primary remarketing channel that both nurtures learnings from ALD Automotive S.A (parent company),but embraces local adaptations.
  • Act as a core member of the Remarketing Channel team both influencing strategy, implementing change, and supporting the transition between 'traditional' and 'digital' channels


  • Criteria

  • Skills/ Experience /Background
  • Experience in a sales & marketing or customer engagement environment
  • Good communication and relationship building skills (verbal and written)
  • Analytical approach / mindset to work confident using data effectively and swiftly
  • Good standard or IT literacy with a specific focus on Microsoft products
  • Exposure to working with external customers or 3rd party suppliers
  • A basic awareness of good commercial / financial best practice
  • A genuine interest in the automotive or remarketing sector
