Cognition Learning Group is seeking an experienced Head of Finance UK.
This is a cornerstone position within our business that assumes responsibility for all financial, commercial and compliance requirements for our UK businesses, encompassing our Cognition, Wavelength, Aspire and Begin Bright brands.
What you will be doing:
- Provide financial expertise to the business leadership team
- Ensure the business functions efficiently and seamlessly, we need someone who is not afraid of getting into detail and executing our strategy
- Own month end results and the balance sheet, demonstrate a solid understanding of the business drivers
- Troubleshooting business issues and providing robust analysis to support recommendations
- Driving & supporting performance improvement initiatives provides analytical support optimise the delivery and financial return from consultancy business.
- Strong project management from a financial perspective (budget, forecast, revenue recognition) we have some large scale Government contracts in UK
- FP&A
- Financial and commercial analysis, insight and forecasting.
To be considered you will:
- 4+ years' work experience
- Highly numerate
- Advanced Excel skills, highly competent in PowerPoint and Word
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong work ethic understand the tradeoff between time, quality and delivery
- Comfortable working in an uncertain, fast paced and sometimes complex environment
