We are looking for a creative Software Tester to join our Software Development team. Nortech is a successful SME based in Evesham, Worcestershire. We supply monitoring and control systems to the Electricity Distribution Industry.

Our products can be found in substations and control rooms around the world, helping our customers deliver a more reliable "smart power grid.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out manual integration, functional, and regression testing as part of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle.
• Maintaining and enhancing the test framework including exploratory testing.
• Collaborate with the software developers to identify new test scenarios.
• Discover and document software bugs.
• Assist the software development team to reproduce, troubleshoot and fix issues.
• Provide product technical support.
• Produce customerfacing product documentation.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• You will have an excellent technical degree most likely in Software Engineering and / or relevant experience as a Software Tester.
• Demonstrates a keen interest in understanding the business requirements of customers and endusers.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting issues and problem solving.

Relevant / Desirable Experience:

• Experience with issue tracking tools, methodologies and processes, such as Jira.
• Testing of REST APIs using tools like Postman.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools/frameworks, such as Selenium and Playwright.
• Experience with performance and/or security testing.
• Certification in software testing from a recognized institution, such as ISTQB.
• Highlevel knowledge of computer networking protocols and concepts.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Salary £26,000 - £30,000 (DOE).
