We have an exciting opportunity a
Database Administrator to support their European software development team.


ABOUT THE LOCATION
Our primary office location is in Egham. Occasionally, some meetings will be held on-site and require travel to the office at the employee's expense. This is likely to be less than 10 times a year.
At all other times, the employee can work remotely or inthe office as they choose.


Salary:
£30,000 - £40,000 per annum dependent on experience


Responsibilities

  • Testing the latest patches and keeping the SQL Servers up to date
  • Assist in database deployments
  • Assist in the development and execution of capacity plans
  • Assist in execution of database backup and recovery strategies
  • Assist in task automation and process improvements, as directed
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving database production support issues
  • Monitors and meets established SQL server standards
  • Monitors database security
  • Maintenance of database configuration documentation
  • Documents actions taken to resolve a problem
  • Database development using T-SQL and SSIS development
  • Some out of hours deployment may be required

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of MS SQL Server 2016 or above
  • T-SQL skills
  • Managing incidents, problems and changes using tools
  • Working in an agile environment

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of SQL Azure
  • Teradata, Oracle and/or other RDBMs
  • SSIS and database development using SQL server data tools
  • SQL Server data tools including database projects
