Head of Purchasing

Co. Down - Newry

Salary - Open to discussion

I am working with a leading FMCG company who are growing year on year. They are seeking for a Head of Purchasing to join their successful team on a permanent full-time basis.

Duties:


  • Ensure that contracts of trading are in place with all key suppliers.
  • Negotiate overall best terms ensuring that the supply base and product meet the required business objectives.
  • Run monthly report showing variances against budget cost standards
  • Develop formal product sector category strategies Utilise monthly commercial forecasts, and MRP system
  • Put in place profit improvement plan
  • Attend all (S&OP) planning meetings
  • Develop risk management strategies
  • Manage the raw materials and packaging replenishment
  • Constantly update overall quality market intelligence
  • Communicate with management to fully share learnings
  • Member of the Innovation committee with the view to sourcing needs
  • Other adhoc duties.

About you:


  • Experience of working within a similar role
  • Experience of S&OP.
