The role


We require a strong all-rounder who can take charge of our deliverable research projects, manage research projects and their timelines to meet strict deadlines, with excellent command of highly professional, both written and spoken English.

Please note that this role is only for someone who has significant experience in business research._

Some of the projects will be regular and predictable; others will be ad-hoc and require initiative and creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Scope research projects, their delivery and resourcing, as well as RACI stakeholders
  • Explore, innovate and where possible improve on current project management patterns and methodologies
  • Anticipate and identify issues that may arise to delay or hinder progress of a given project and resolve
  • Undertake necessary indepth research on topics relevant to projects and maintain familiarity with available information sources
  • Create and manage databases of important research, experts, etc.
  • Edit drafts to develop highquality final reports, papers, content, etc.
  • Develop a sound knowledge of, and keep uptodate with relevant publications and research developments in key policy areas, both nationally and internationally
  • Carry out literature reviews (peerreviewed and grey literature), interpreting, synthesizing, and presenting findings to a high business standard, to support dissemination to internal and external stakeholders
  • Thought leadership: keeping abreast of all the latest developments within the sectors we work across
  • Ensure continuous and detailed communication with internal stakeholders so that team members are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Prepare presentations for various meetings from a master presentation of slides

Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of proven experience as a researcher and writer in a business environment, with demonstrable examples of such experience
  • 5+ years of proven experience researching and writing on technology topics
  • Highlevel professional research, writing and editing skills
  • Ability to prioritise work and define steps needed to achieve specified project outcomes
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows based Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with research databases
  • Experience with buy side institutional investors highly desirable

Start date for this position is ASAP.

The working hours are somewhat flexible - pending outstanding deadlines, as is the location, with occasional face to face meetings required in central London.

The hourly compensation range for this role is £20-25, depending on experience.
