Wolverhampton (Hybrid Working 2/3 days in the office)

£45K-£55K

The Financial Accountant role is a key role within the core Financial Accounting, Compliance and Tax team to ensure the month end, year end and wider finance tasks are completed effectively in a timely manner.

This is a wide and varied role which would providea great opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to develop and learn by getting involved in many of the ongoing projects within the finance team.

Role & Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

Financial Performance

Assist in the development of internal control processes and reviews in relation to a growing compliance driven environment.
Production of balance sheet reconciliations and ensure these are documented in line with group requirements
Continually review finance processes and identify to Financial Controller any process and/or system improvements.
Take the lead on implementing improvements to systems and processes identified
Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management
Data preparation to support the audit process.
Responsible for the preparation of quarterly VAT returns and ensuring that the VAT process is accurate from transaction through to submission.
Supporting preparation of tax, VAT and other external statutory reporting as required.
