Description
You will be responsible for all elements of transactional accounting including, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable.

You will need to be a leader who can manage and coach the team on the day-to-day transactional activities and support in the transformationof the finance team, processes, and systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete management of the endtoend automated AP process, from invoice receipt / purchase order allocation, accuracy of invoices onto the finance system, and processing of payment runs.
  • Ensure all queries on invoices are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Supporting AP and AR team where needed
  • Review AP debit balances on a regular basis and report to the Finance Manager of the status of such balance.
  • Month End Reporting and liaising with internal teams at month end regarding accruals, prepayments and month end closure.
  • Taking the lead on system reviews and implementing new ways of working and driving change where needed and proactively identifying process improvements and propose innovative solutions.
  • Developing and managing of the Accounts Payable Finance Coordinators.
  • Assisting Finance Manager with Internal and External Auditor requests
  • Processing overhead invoices, employee expense claims, ensuring relevant approvals are obtained and coded accurately, reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Providing accurate forecasting of supplier payments, and accurately calculating and processing supplier payments in line with agreed terms
  • Compiling and presenting relevant reports when requested by the Senior Leadership Team
  • Carry out continuous reviews of accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and costeffective operations

Person Requirements:


  • Qualified accountant, either ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to effectively work within a team, understand process and have a proactive approach to work
  • Ability to influence others with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • IT literate
  • Highly analytical and detail orientated
  • The ability to manage a team
This opportunity is office based, paying £40k.
