Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Food Technologist to join our team.

As a Food Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting research and experiments to develop new food products or improve existing ones.

You will also analyse data, perform quality control tests, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

This role is ideally suited for someone beginning their career in the food industry, perhaps someone who has recently graduated with a food-based degree.


What you will be doing

  • Conduct research and experiments to develop new food products or improve existing ones
  • To assist in recipe development using recipe sheets and sample materials to develop and send finished samples to our customers
  • Collaborate with teams within our business to ensure product development meets customer requirements
  • Carry out taste panels for existing and new products
  • Monitor and evaluate the sensory attributes of food products and ensure product safety and consistency
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in food technology
  • Assist in the development of product specifications and labelling requirements
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source highquality ingredients and costings
  • Accurate completion of all documentation associated with the NPD process (trial documents, sensory evaluations, shelf life review, recipe mix sheets etc)

About You

  • Studied a foodrelated course at degree level
  • Demonstrate a natural creative flair and passion for food creation and development
  • You'd describe yourself as a real "foodie" and you love trying new ingredients
  • Excellent attention to detail and problemsolving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
From £26,000.00 per year
