Principle Transport Planning Officer - IMMEDIATE START

Gloucester City Centre

£26 p/h

Temporary - ongoing

My highly reputable client based in Gloucester City Centre is looking for a senior member of staff to advise and assist in the formulation and processes of strategic transport planning policy and their implementation.

The Role:

Taking lead in developing your own projects, under the guidance of the transport planning team managers and in cooperation with colleagues and stakeholders.
Dealing with Lead Cabinet Members
Writing and authorising reports.
Negotiating with developers and other organisations.
Providing evidence to planning inquiries, appeals and examinations.
Creation and maintenance of paperwork and documents

Experience and Skills Required:

Experience of working with the legislative framework and practical implementation in transport policy and planning.
Experience in interpreting the outputs of transport models and an understanding of WebTAG.
Excellent report writing skills.
A successful track record in a management role.
Proven ability to think, act and work strategically / corporately.
