Description

We are looking to recruit an experienced, highly motivated and reliable Garden & Grounds Maintenance Team Leader. You'll need to work to a high standard and have a good eye for detail.

Applicants will need to be organised, skilled in the management of operatives and capable of working on their own initiative.

Time management skills are essential as you will be working to tight deadlines.

Primarily, the role will include

Leading a team with maintenance of domestic gardens, commercial sites and amenity areas which will include lawns, ponds, and external grounds

Carrying out soft landscaping turf laying, planting, mulching
Operating a range of machinery
Dealing with clients and site managers on a daily basis
Driving company vehicles such as vans
Completing records accurately, including mileage sheets, timesheets, risk assessments and prestart checks
Ensuring that the Team's van, equipment and machinery are secured, cleaned, and maintained regularly

You must be able to demonstrate the following Qualifications or Experience:

Either have an NVQ level 2 (or above) in horticultural or trade qualifications and / or proven experience (at least 2 years) working in a Head of Grounds Maintenance/ Team Leader role
Full clean driving licence
Confidence using various tools and machinery
Good general knowledge of methods and materials used within the industry
Trailer licence/qualification and experience towing
Holding of PA2 and PA6 pesticide qualifications would be an advantage

Salary:
£20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
