    Priory Oaklands Derby is looking to recruit a Support Worker - Part Time to join their team.

    £12.60 per hour plus £35 per sleep-in

    Shifts are between: 07:30 - 22:00 plus x1 sleep-in 22:30 - 06:30

    Oaklands is a residential service, located in Derby, which supports eight people with mental health needs. We are located in a suburban location on the outskirts of the city centre, just off a main road. Our team are dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the people we support, helping them to achieve positive outcomes. We want to help each person we care for to have a healthy, happy and independent life, within a safe and welcoming home.

    What you'll be doing

    You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.

    Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.

    As a Part Time Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you'll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.

    • Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, and preparation of food
    • Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
    • Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
    • Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
    • Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists - CMHT
    • Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
