Category Manager


A fantastic opportunity for a Category Manager to join a leading utilities company based in London with a salary up to £60,000.

This Category Manager position has been created as part of a recent internal transformation within the procurement departmentto maximise business efficiency and value.

This Category Manager is based within the ventures team, focusing on the procurement of renewables both as a service to customers, and for the company itself.


Responsibilities of the Category Manager:


  • Developing sourcing strategies and general category management of the renewable energy space to deliver best value for the business.
  • Establishing highly effective relationships with key stakeholders and the supply market.
  • Ensuring that sourcing projects are delivered on time, achieving optimum risk allocation, best value and fulfilling customers' expectations.
  • Following necessary procurement regulations are observed and efficiently managing spend within budgets.

Person Specification of the Category Manager:

  • Previous proven experience in a strategic sourcing role within a multi-stakeholder environment, ideally with a focus on specific categories.
  • Solid negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
  • Strong ability to manage and build relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders.

Salary:

Up to £60,000


This role will be ideal for you if you have previous experience within procurement and purchasing as a Category Manager, Commodity Manager, Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Senior Buyer, or similar.
