Overview
PepsiCo is looking for R&D Technical Stewardship Project Manager to join in Leicester on a 14 months FTC position.
Job Purpose

As R&D Project Coordinator you will lead the development and technical aspects of Technical Stewardship projects to actively support the Europe Foods R&D AOP.

You will manage
ingredient & product development for Technical Stewardship projects, including prototyping, manufacturing trials and preparing technical documentation. You will l
ead the Europe Foods R&D Process Contaminants agenda, including close partnership with Global Function, Regulatory Affairs and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

  • Scope, align & deliver a portfolio of assigned Technical Stewardship projects through individual contribution & delivery through others
  • Contribute to or lead where appropriate workstreams to improve ways of working across the team e.g. improvement of business processes to drive greater efficiencies, sharing of knowledge to create better team cohesion & developing others through coaching & embedding best practise
  • Provide R&D voice in crossfunctional forums and work as an effective business partner in collaboration with R&D discipline partners.

Qualifications

  • Graduate in a Food Science or Engineering discipline or equivalent
  • At least 4 years' experience in FMCG R&D product or technology development roles, managing NPD projects from concept to launch, ideally in extrusion or snack food product categories
  • Effective technical project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Coordination and execution of factory trials to deliver NPD
  • Experience in coordination of 3rd party manufacturers &/or suppliers to meet business goals
  • Indepth analytical skills to interpret complex data and distil into meaningful information e.g. interpreting process data, experimental design and statistical inference.
