ROLE


Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Credit Control/Finance Assistant will be responsible for ensuring timely collection of the company's debtors and resolving customer account queries.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Performing monthly customer statement runs.
  • Performing monthly payment request runs.
  • Working with internal teams to resolve customer order disputes.
  • Keeping the customer account data uptodate and accurate, including maintaining notes on customer communications.
  • Reconciliation of customer account balances and other sales ledger tasks for the accounting monthend process.
  • Collating and reporting debtor management data.
  • Taking customer card payments over the phone.
  • Reviewing and approving new customer credit accounts.
  • Ensuring that the company's excellent customer service reputation is upheld.
  • Adhering to the Finance Team procedures as outlined in the Quality System Manual.
  • Working with the Financial Controller to identify areas where systems could be improved.
  • Assisting the Finance Team with daytoday duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 12+ years' experience in a Finance role. Credit control experience desirable.
  • Experience of using an ERP system/Accounting software such as Sage 200/50.
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Polite and confident telephone manner.
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Selfmotivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Strong work ethic.
