I am delighted to be supporting a long-standing client of mine in a new appointment for their operations side of the business.

With this role you will be joining a friendly and successful architectural practice, where you will be working along side the PracticeDirector ensuring all elements of the business are run smoothly.

With this role it would be essential to be educated to degree level
- ideally in an operations management or associated business field. You should have an in-depth knowledge of Office 365 and project management software. It should go without saying that youhave fantastic organisation skills and strong communication and verbal skills.


Responsibilities for the role of Operations Manager:

  • Developing, implementing, documenting, and reviewing operational systems and
- procedures for managing workflow in a busy architectural practice

  • Project programming alongside Practice Director to facilitate effective staffing and
- resource allocation

  • Managing contracts across varied projects and working with Practice Director to
- recognise and quantify additional output requests to maintain project profitability

  • Working closely with CEO and Finance Director on new opportunities, delivery costs
- and programming ensuing workflows to ensure they are fully resourced

  • Assisting in managing the diary and workload of CEO
  • Recording, monitoring, and reporting on project delivery costs
  • Reporting to Practice Director/Finance Director/CEO on key deliverables to ensure
- success and profitability across diverse projects

  • Assistance in appointment and managing of new staff
  • Taking a key role in administration of Health and Safety and HR
  • Support the practice in maintaining ISO9001 certification and compliance
  • Day to day administrative duties to support the wider team in project delivery
  • Qualities & skills required

Desirable skills for the role of Operations Manager:

  • Project Management qualification
  • Experience within a design/construction environment
  • Knowledge of ISO and health and safety standards
  • Experience in an HR role
  • Ability to work well under pressure, and meet deadlines efficiently and effectively
  • Use of Apple MacOS
