10+ years of relevant engineering experience in the Aerospace Industry

10+ years of experience with Aircraft Type Investigation process, with EASA or FAA
Experience designing hardware from concept to certification
Proficient in leading complex projects or programs involving flight test
Proficient in analysis and decomposition of Safety requirements
BS in Science, Engineering, or technology field, or equivalent industry experience

Key job responsibilities

Support Prime Air executives in efforts to obtain Type Certification of drone systems
Work with National Aviation Authorities (NAAs) to gain Drone System Certification
Work with the NAAs to prepare the drone system list of Means of Compliance for the Type Investigation
Partner with Subject Matter Experts to partner with the NAAs to develop Means of Evidence for the Type Investigation
Liaise with Amazon public policy and legal teams on legislative and rulemaking initiatives, environmental permissions, and certification processes for drones
Contribute to the airworthiness key deliverables in the system readiness review cycles

15+ years of relevant Aerospace Industry experience
10+ years of relevant engineering experience with:
10+ years of SAE ARP4754A, Certification of Complex System
10+ years of FAR23/FAR25, CS23/CS2 Drone Systems design experience, drone safety analysis and/or certification experience.
Functional safety, systems safety and design assurance processes (e.g. DO160/178/254, 1309 design analysis) experience.
Proficient working matrixed organization and working with international teams/organizations
Basic knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms
Knowledge of challenges dealing with certifying autonomous systems
Experience with Safety Assessment commercial tools
MS in Science, Engineering, or technology field, or equivalent industry experience
Fluency in Spanish and/or Italian
