A quick look at the role


The
Project Manageris responsible for ensuring the smooth running of projects including the creation, ongoing development and performance tracking of the plan.

A typical project will impact multiple areas of the organisation, with differinglevels of change required to business processes and/or IT solutions.


Your core responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to projects throughout the duration of the design, build and implementation phases
  • Define the components of a project (vision, objectives, scope, plans, resources, benefits)
  • Complete all project plans, and put measures in place to track and control progress against plan
  • Align the relevant aspects of Biffa's implementation methodology with System Integrator methodologies (as appropriate), ensuring all strategies, tools and templates are clearly documented and approved prior to delivery
  • Define, gain approval of, and manage the project budget
  • Produce weekly/monthly progress reporting and track progress of key deliverables and manage any required escalations
  • Proactively identify, manage, report and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions within the RAID log
  • Ensure Stage Gate deliverables are met in line with agreed delivery dates and acceptance criteria

Our essential requirements

  • Degree educated with strong academics
  • Demonstrable experience using Project Management tools and methodologies
  • Experience leading strategic projects of varying size, complexity, timescales
  • Preferably qualified Prince 2 Practitioner
