A quick look at the role
The
Project Manageris responsible for ensuring the smooth running of projects including the creation, ongoing development and performance tracking of the plan.
A typical project will impact multiple areas of the organisation, with differinglevels of change required to business processes and/or IT solutions.
Your core responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to projects throughout the duration of the design, build and implementation phases
- Define the components of a project (vision, objectives, scope, plans, resources, benefits)
- Complete all project plans, and put measures in place to track and control progress against plan
- Align the relevant aspects of Biffa's implementation methodology with System Integrator methodologies (as appropriate), ensuring all strategies, tools and templates are clearly documented and approved prior to delivery
- Define, gain approval of, and manage the project budget
- Produce weekly/monthly progress reporting and track progress of key deliverables and manage any required escalations
- Proactively identify, manage, report and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions within the RAID log
- Ensure Stage Gate deliverables are met in line with agreed delivery dates and acceptance criteria
Our essential requirements
- Degree educated with strong academics
- Demonstrable experience using Project Management tools and methodologies
- Experience leading strategic projects of varying size, complexity, timescales
- Preferably qualified Prince 2 Practitioner
