TEXO Recruitment have an
IMMEDIATE need for a
Technical Assistant to join the current team at
TEXO Port Services on a temporary full time basis. The role is likely to last for at least 3 months and has the potential to be extended.
Purpose of the Role:
As a Technical Assistant you will support the fabrication team with administrative and technical tasks.
You will be required to perform basic administrative tasks including filing, preparing and issuing of key documentation such as Manufacturing Record Books (MRB's).
You will be required provide Technical Assistance in the operation of machinery such as the Plasma Cutter and provide support to the QA/QC Department, Project Managers and Project Engineers.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Health, Safety and Environment across all Blyth operations complying with best practice, company procedures, risk assessments and legal requirements
- Promote a proactive commitment to TEXO improvement initiatives
- Compilation of MRB's
- Perform methodical review of all documentation prior to client submittal
- Support Projects in the compilation and distribution of documentation to production
- Technically support the Project Managers and Project Engineers as required
- Overviewing and ensuring housekeeping of Technical Files, Project Folders and Registers are in line with Company procedures
- May be requested at times to perform other tasks and work additional hours in abnormal situations to ensure customer requirements achieved
Quality, Safety, Health & Environment

- Cooperate with company requirements to ensure that statutory duties are met
- Do not interfere with or misuse anything supplied for health and safety
- Only use equipment and substance where trained to correctly do so
- Identify and take any obvious corrective actions to resolve nonconformances and prevent loss in your immediate area, reporting any hazards to HSEQ Team / Line Manager
- Promote the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Aspects of the management system
- Support the Company's environmental stance by following all environmental procedures and policies and assist with the reduction of waste, energy usage and emissions
To be considered for this role here in Blyth, you will need to have experience of working in an administrative capacity (minimum of 2 years), be competent with all aspects of Microsoft Office and have a keen eye to detail.
