An exciting and unique opportunity to join Beazley as a Process Improvement and Controls Lead for our Modernisation programme, providing the ability to work on a significant transformation agenda.
The role sits at the heart of designing and embedding end to end Underwriting and Operations processes, along with implementation of controls.
Due to the criticality of this initiative, it will have visibility at all levels of the organization including working with the Executive team.
We are looking for an experienced professional with strong understanding of the Underwriting and Operations processes, with a technical understanding of the controls environment.

Job Summary
The role sits at the heart of designing and embedding end to end Underwriting and Operations
processes, along with the implementation of controls. Process and Controls need to be taken
from concept, creation, design, planning & delivery of key sustainable process improvements
to drive benefits for the customer journey and business performance.
- Create and document the AS-IS and TO-BE processes for the Underwriting and
for different customer journeys in the insurance value chain.
- Capture, design and embed a strategic approach to provide controls oversight,
- Identify opportunities for process standardisation, simplification, automation and
improvement to reduce process waste & risk for more efficient and effective ways of
working.
- Works with a number of functions to determine controls required to be implemented
- Ensure the process and controls landscape is accurate, control procedures are
- Continuous improvement, implementing and embedding strategic change where
- Providing strong controls leadership working collaboratively with stakeholders at all
Key Responsibilities:
Design, promote best practice process and controls management within Modernisation:
- Lead and maintain ownership of Modernisation's control's framework and capabilities.
- Partner with owners of the Process and control agenda within Modernisation, provide
- Partner with key functions across the business (including underwriting & claims
processes and systems to address business/operational risks and monitor ongoing
execution and effectiveness of control activities.
- Monitor and update the assessment of the control environment, keeping up to date
- Responsible for operating, monitoring and reporting the status of controls, liaising with
