Are you a Payroll Data Analyst looking to get a MAJOR Oracle based Transformation project under your belt?


My client is embarking on a HUGE Oracle transformation project worth £7.5M, and they need a motivated and excited Payroll Data Analyst to work alongside the technical Oracle team, Payroll Lead and the HR & Finance teams.

The Role
Your main roll will be to ensure all payroll processes are accurately completed in line with the schedules.

You will also be key in the process of downloading data to a database and pulling specific data out of the database - using system interrogation.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for processing all variations to pay in the Oracle
  • Responsible for administering statutory deductions for Tax Codes, Tax, NI, statutory benefits, court orders and student loans.
  • Carrying out all systems processes in the Oracle System ensuring monthly payroll is delivered on time according to schedules
  • Responsible for administering the reconciliation of General Ledger payroll accounts
  • Ensuring all 3rd reporting is completed
  • Offer guidance on Police Regulations and Police Staff Council handbook in relation to the impact on pay, pensions, occupational and statutory sickness, and maternity
  • Contribute to the Payroll Procedure and ERP Payroll Systems manuals
  • Play an active role in payroll projects for all new payroll system implementations, all payroll system upgrades.
  • Once trained train other colleagues on how to use the system

You
To be successful for this role, you will need to have a mixture of the following skills & experience:

  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills
  • Systems interrogation skills
  • Systems troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
  • Be able to use existing notes to dictate if they are still fit for purpose
  • Experience in using payroll systems and Previous Payroll experience is preferred but not necessary
  • Ability to learn new procedures and interpret and advise them to stakeholders
  • Able to work as part of a team
