THE ROLE


As the Head of Performance, Canada Water you will commoand a pivotal leadership role within the Canada Water Masterplan development.

This role will involve leading a matrix team to acheive exceptional results, overseeing cross departmental collaboration and demonstrating, excellent senior stakeholder management and communication.


You will report to the Joint Head of Canada Water and have a close working relationship with the Canada Water executive team, "CanCo" and, in particular, the Canada Water Head of Finance & Director of Development.

You will sit on the Joint Venture Steering Committee and be accountable for reporting to the Joint Venture Board. You will regularly report to and attend BL investment committee and BL Board meetings providing updates on the development.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Developing an investment strategy for Canada Water to identify cyclical capital recycling & partnership opportunities, as well as areas for value creation to enhance performance.
  • Evaluating the external marketplace to develop cross sector relationships, track opportunities & perform competitor benchmarking/monitoring with 3rd parties for maximising the value of the asset.
  • Representing the shareholders in the quarterly valuation process working alongside the BL analyst team review of quarterly analysis, critical challenge and liaison with JV partners to support internal /JV reporting & analysis.


  • Business planning

  • Lead the annual JV Board strategy offsite to review the strategy and identify areas of opportunity for inclusion in the Business Plan. Support JV annual business plan and budgeting process to ensure opportunities for enhancing performance are identified.


  • Risk management

  • Ownership of Strategic risks & opportunities for the JV working closely with the Canada Water team & Co-Sec to ensure BL and JV governance processes are followed.

ABOUT YOU

  • Exceptional commercial ability with a focus on value creation.
  • Proven experience in delivering commercial returns within a senior leadership role.
  • Significant experience working with senior stakeholders, demonstrating proactive and pragmatic approach to difficult conversations, conflict and stakeholder management.
  • Strong communicator with extensive experience in communicating complex concepts with range of seniority.
  • Demonstrate strategic vision and foresight, managing a portfolio of responsibilities across a diverse team.
  • Experience in identifying & mitigating risk in real estate investment.
  • Property industry and development market facing experience essential.
