About the role

This is a great opportunity for talented, budding designers looking to explore and further their career in Design, whilst making a big impact on a rapidly growing and successful game with huge potential.

We're looking for a Content Designer to join us at Trailmix and help implement fantastic storylines for our game, Love & Pies.

You'll be taking narrative scripts and transforming them into playable experiences using our custom Unity toolset.

This role is a combination of technical, artistic and design:

we want someone who can excel at the nuts and bolts of implementation, but who also brings an artistic eye to our content, to ensure it's as fun and high-quality as possible for our players.

Overall, your responsibility will be to regularly deliver high quality story episodes in a strict time frame, helping to steer how we tell our evolving storyline to our players.

The Content Designer will also play a key part in achieving Trailmix's mission: to foster a culture of trust, respect and creativity which allows us to make beautiful long lasting games that can be played by everyone.

Responsibilities

Work within the game's design pillars, creatively make story chapters by harnessing scripts, art and animation to produce highquality content
Work to agreed deadlines in a selfsufficient and timely manner to ensure our players continue to experience consistent and awesome game content
Utilise Unity and specialised tooling to implement story chapters and resolve technical bugs as we move through development phases, to release.
Liaise with narrative leads, artists and QA managers at the right stages of the process to support and inform story chapter development.
Be a constructive and responsive Content Design team member, contributing to reviews/feedback and future content and process evolution.

Requirements:

An ability to 'think technical', with examples of experience in Unity or other implementation tooling.
Similarly, an ability to 'think artistically', being able to show that you have an eye towards visually blocking out a scene from a script for maximum experience and impact to players.
A playerfirst mindset, demonstrating that you respect and can act as a champion for our audience, creating content with their needs in mind.
A love and knowledge of the casual mobile market or related games, with a curiosity towards other content and experiences that can inform your work.
A demonstrable ability to work independently to produce high quality work within strict time frames.

Location

Trailmix is currently operating under a hybrid work model - we have 3 days a week (Monday, Thursday & Friday) in person at our studio in Kings Cross, with the remaining 2 days available to work from home.
