Are you an experienced Buyer coming from either a Manufacturing, Construction or Engineering company who is looking for the next step in their career? Join this fast-paced designer, manufacturer and supplier who are seeking a Senior Buyer to join their Team.

This is a busy role managing a high volume of PO's and multiple suppliers.

Your role would be crucial in achieving the operational target of 'on time in full every time'. You would work alongside the Head of Procurement and manage a Purchasing Support Assistant.

As well as your day-to-day operational focus, reviewing current processes,implementing new ideas and driving daily efficiencies would also form part of your rewarding role.


Package:


  • Starting basic salary to £50k per annum.
  • Bonus Scheme.
  • Hybrid working pattern.
  • Crawley Head Office (RH10).
  • Monday to Friday 7.30am4.30pm or 8am5pm.

Expected Qualifications, Skills & Experience:


  • Purchasing experience in a B2B productbased business.
  • Experience of purchasing in a high volume / high pressure / deadline driven role.
  • Management of stock control levels.
  • Competent on MS Office Suite.
  • Previously worked with an ERP or MRP system.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Natural communicator, with the ability to build trust, team player.

Core responsibilities will typically include:


  • Managing the full Purchase to Pay Process (P2P).
  • Ensure availability of consumables and selected stock items (SKU'S).
  • Point of escalation for chasing and expediting orders with suppliers.
  • Extracting Material list from Bills of Quantities / Bills of Materials.
  • Obtaining and processing purchase requests.
  • Requesting purchase proposals and assessing quotes.
  • Ensuring the optimum data in the ERP is inputted (price, dates, quantities)
  • Liaise daily with Operations, Project and Warehouse.
