Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse (Temporary):

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse seeking a temporary opportunity to make a difference? Look no further We are currently recruiting for a Band 5 RMN to join our team at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.


As a Band 5 RMN, you will be based at the Airedale Centre for Mental Health, located within the Airedale General Hospital on Skipton Road, Steeton, West Yorkshire.

This is a temporary position with a start date of 25/02/2024 and an end date of 25/02/2024.


Your shift will start at 07:30:00 and end at 20:00:00, providing you with ample time to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.

We understand the importance of work-life balance, and our payment rate of £412.50 per shift reflects our appreciation for your hard work and dedication.


As a Band 5 RMN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.


Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering handson nursing care, administering medications, and providing therapeutic interventions.
  • Building therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, promoting engagement and involvement in their care.
  • Completing comprehensive assessments of mental health needs, identifying risks, and developing care plans.
  • Working closely with the team to ensure the smooth running of the unit and efficient patient flow.
  • Participating in clinical supervision and contributing to the development of best practice within the service.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized nursing qualification and current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Experience working within a mental health setting, providing care and support to individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with patients and their families.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, enabling you to prioritize tasks effectively and manage your workload efficiently.
