Location:
Watford, covering Essex and Herts

Salary:
£30,000 depending on experience

Shifts:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

To strengthen their existing team, they are currently looking for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to assist the Contract Manager with the on-site management of staff.

The role involves the delivery of horticultural duties across sites in Luton, leading and coordinating a mobile team of Grounds Maintenance Operatives.

Your duties will include:

- responsibility to assist the Contract Manager in coordinating the day-to-day activities of Grounds Maintenance staff

Working across sites to deliver a range of Grounds Maintenance duties, ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard
Assisting with toolbox talks and training for Grounds Maintenance team
Providing an excellent level of customer service
Building and maintaining good relationships with customers
Operating horticultural machinery, i.e. strimmers, mowers etc. PA1 and PA6 certification (or equivalent)
Knowledge of Health and Safety compliance, following all processes and procedures and ensuring your team do the same
Ability to interact positively and professionally with the public, and other members of staff
Punctual, hardworking and able to use own initiative

Key Skills & Qualities needed:

Previous experience of working as a Grounds Maintenance Operative, moving to a Team Leader role essential. Relevant qualifications would be an advantage
Ability to encourage and motivate your team
A highly motivated individual with excellent Grounds Maintenance skills
Ability to work well within our team as well as to work unsupervised
Excellent customer service skills
