  • An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CT Case Officer (CTCO) to work within the Counter Terrorism Unit South East (CTP SE) under the Prevent Strand of the United Kingdom's Counter-Terrorism strategy (CONTEST) by connecting CT policing, neighbourhood policing and communities.

The government-led, multi-agency Prevent programme aims to stop individuals being exploited by extremists and so we work with local authority partners and community organisations to help find solutions and work to support and protect people vulnerable to radicalisation.

The core responsibilities of a CTCO fall with three main categories: Case Management (including management of risk, supportive activities & disruptive activities), Engagement, and Police Support.

Prevent CTCO's play a key role in assessing if cases are suitable for Local Authority led management and refer cases to a Channel Coordinator.

Coordinating between different organisations is an important part of this work, so a strong safeguarding background would be advantageous.
