To provide professional and proactive recruitment focused administrative support to the Human Resources (HR) Department at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB).

Specifically providing an effective recruitment service as well as general support to the HR Advisors and wider team.


Main Duties/Key Responsibilities:


Recruitment:

To support HR Advisors in the management of recruitment campaigns you will:

  • Provide administrative support for the end-to-end recruitment process, including initial discussions regarding campaigns with the HR Advisors, the co-ordination of recruitment documentation, the creation of advertising and campaign monitoring, shortlisting and interview co-ordination and contract generation and suggest improvements where necessary.
  • Provide a supportive role to the HR Advisors, they will oversee and be responsible for the recruitment service so will require your expertise and assistance in ensuring the service is efficient and effective.
  • Support the HR Advisors where possible in the management of immigration cases. You will need to be willing to learn the process and provide any support which may be required.
  • Provide support to the HR Advisors in the proactive monitoring of the recruitment service undertaking research as and when required e.g. investigating media sources and carrying out fact finding and recruitment data analysis.
  • To provide recruitment reports to HR Advisors as requested.

General administrative tasks:


  • To act as a first point of contact for visitors to the HR department, directing queries as appropriate to the HR Advisors and wider team and effectively trouble shooting where possible.
  • To jointly oversee the efficiencies of the HR admin function including escalating matters to the HR Advisors as appropriate.
  • To provide cover and support to the HR Admin Assistant during busy periods and absences.

Working Relationships:

You will be line managed by one of the HR Advisors, with all Advisors providing support and guidance. You will work alongside the HR Admin Assistant.

Daily communication will be required with HR Advisors and the wider team.

Regular communication will be required with LMB staff, including administrators and with UK Shared Business Service (UK SBS).

Education / qualifications / training required:


  • Essential:_
Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience.

  • Desirable:_
Level 2 Business & Administration qualification or equivalent.

  • Experience of prioritising own workload.

  • Experience of working in an HR environment and providing HR administration.
  • Experience of administering a recruitment process.
