Role - PTS Trainer/ Rail Assessor

Salary - £25,000 to £35,000

Location - Glasgow

Roles & Responsibilities:

This is a role to provide PTS rail training to classroom learners.

NSAR rail trainers will be confident providing induction, initial assessment, advice and guidance to all learners enrolled in any training courses and programmes.

To assess learners' progress and maintain accurate records of assessments of learning carried out, learner journey, achievement and feedback provided.

Other responsibilities to ensure that the role is met will include but is not limited to:

To plan, conduct and evaluate teaching, learning and assessment activity at training centres throughout the country in line with programme of scheduling.

To ensure teaching and learning is delivered to the highest standard through quality lesson planning and observations in line with all Awarding Bodies.

Who we are looking for:

Hold and maintain the PTS and COSS competencies
Hold / be working towards Trainer Qualification such as AET Level
Hold / be working towards current Assessor Qualification such as TAQA CAVA
Approved by / working towards approval with NSAR
Hold Safety Critical Competencies up to ES level (minimum of PTS)
Willingness to travel to other locations as required by business training or assessment needs
Proficient in Microsoft programmes, such as Outlook and Powerpoint
Attention to detail including ensuring paper and electronic records are checked and completed to a high standard
Be up to date with current standards, legislations and rule of the NRMI (Network Rail Managed Infrastructure) and any advances in best practice in the industry
Enjoy working in a people and safety focussed role
Min level 3 trainer (training & education)
Safety critical competencies up to ES level (Engineering Supervisor)
PTS, ES, COSS, Site Warden.
Experience of delivering PTS training courses: 1 year (required)
