Description

The post holder will play a major role in providing a quality administration/support service to the Professional Standards Team Managers and its senior clinical staff.


The post holder will work as part of the Professional Standards Team and will be required to carry out a range of office support and administrative tasks.


The post holder will also support the Professional Standards Team Manager/s with IT training for the Medical and Dental Study Leave System and associated processes.


The post-holder will be familiar with processes relating to appraisal and revalidation and be able to provide administrative support to the rest of the PST in these areas as needed.


To act as a first point of contact on behalf of the PST for anyone contacting the team or requiring support.


To screen calls and enquiries and manage issues within the scope of the role and knowledge and experience and refer to a more senior officer as required.

To demonstrate a high degree of professionalism when representing the department.


To demonstrate excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills when liaising with senior medical staff, other team members, Trust personnel and external bodies.


As a consequence of the activities of the PST, the ASO may be involved in communication relating to sensitive or confidential information.


To carry out any other relevant duties that may be requested to ensure the systems within the PST offices are under control.
