Description

JavaScript developer required to help develop web-based Geotech and data sharing platform that provides data insights and visualisation for clients all over the world.

This role can be worked remotely, but you MUST be UK based, and ideally able to get into South West London for meetings as required.


You will join an agile scrum team, so any experience in that environment (Unit Testing, Code Reviews) would be an advantage.

You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work with other members of a distributed / remote team.

JavaScript Developer Experience

  • Been involved in feature planning through to implementation and testing
  • Solid frontend web development experience with working knowledge of modern JavaScript development tool chain
  • Good experience with CSS and HTML, comfortable coding UIs that look good and match mockups

Technical Competence:

  • Strong understanding of REST principles and consuming REST APIs
  • Solid knowledge of Javascript, CSS and HTML
  • Exposure to React and Redux
  • Knowledge of Typescript would also be beneficial
  • Knowledge of unit and UI automated testing, ideally Jest and Cypress.
  • A geoscientific / numerate background would also be useful to understand the domain but is not essential.
  • Knowledge of devops (eg AWS / Azure / Docker) would be useful but not essential.
