About the Role
The Materials Coordinator will be co-located within the Operations team to ensure on-time material availability to production. Support project delivery commitments with tactical expediting and longer-term material and equipment provisioning.
Responsibilities:
- Determine priority items to ensure timely handling of incoming and outgoing parts and equipment
- Receive / visually inspect all incoming materials for physical damage and appropriate documentation
- Reconcile goods to delivery note & book in
- Physical movement of goods to appropriate storage areas, rearranging and assessing storage options to maximise space utilisation
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in stores
- Keeping records of stock & completing regular stock audits
- Issuing kits of parts to the manufacturing team to support production line build.
- Allocation, tracking the coordination of the calibration and maintenance of Production hand tools
- Collect and deliver materials and equipment from key suppliers as required
- Helping to load and unload goods
- Raising purchase requests for equipment and materials to ensure ontime manufacture and build activities
- Demonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible manner
- Report all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner.
- When required or directed, participate in any health and safety training.
- Perform other related duties as required
About You
You should have a basic understanding of engineering and an ability to organise your own varied workload and be self-motivated.
Essential experience:
- A full valid UK driving licence.
Desirable experience:
- Previous experience working in production environment
- Knowledge of parts/stock management
- Must be a British Citizen or have an existing right to work in the UK
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well in a team
- Enthusiasm for their work and selfmotivated
- Ability to successfully prioritise and handle multiple tasks.
