About the Role
The Materials Coordinator will be co-located within the Operations team to ensure on-time material availability to production. Support project delivery commitments with tactical expediting and longer-term material and equipment provisioning.


Responsibilities:


  • Determine priority items to ensure timely handling of incoming and outgoing parts and equipment
  • Receive / visually inspect all incoming materials for physical damage and appropriate documentation
  • Reconcile goods to delivery note & book in
  • Physical movement of goods to appropriate storage areas, rearranging and assessing storage options to maximise space utilisation
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices in stores
  • Keeping records of stock & completing regular stock audits
  • Issuing kits of parts to the manufacturing team to support production line build.
  • Allocation, tracking the coordination of the calibration and maintenance of Production hand tools
  • Collect and deliver materials and equipment from key suppliers as required
  • Helping to load and unload goods
  • Raising purchase requests for equipment and materials to ensure ontime manufacture and build activities
  • Demonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible manner
  • Report all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner.
  • When required or directed, participate in any health and safety training.
  • Perform other related duties as required

About You


You should have a basic understanding of engineering and an ability to organise your own varied workload and be self-motivated.

Being able to work well within a small team is of high importance.


Essential experience:

  • A full valid UK driving licence.

Desirable experience:

  • Previous experience working in production environment
  • Knowledge of parts/stock management
Personal attributes

  • Must be a British Citizen or have an existing right to work in the UK
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Enthusiasm for their work and selfmotivated
  • Ability to successfully prioritise and handle multiple tasks.
