An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the award winning finance team at the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust as Assistant Director of Finance - Financial Management.

This is a new role, reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Finance Officer, and an important addition to our senior leadership team.

The post holder will be responsible for the leadership of the Financial Management function, ensuring the department supports the Trust in the achievement of its statutory financial duties, and helping us on our journey to make the Mid Yorkshire Finance Department a great, innovative and diverse place to work.

You will be joining a dynamic and forward thinking Finance Department with a strong emphasis on innovation and continuous improvement.

We have recently achieved Level 2 One NHS Finance Accreditation and we have working groups taking forward all of the One NHS Finance programmes.

We are looking to secure Level 3 accreditation in the near future.

The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals is a large and complex NHS Trust (c£680m turnover), comprising a number of hospital sites in Wakefield and Kirklees including two large PFI facilities.

We also deliver community services for the Wakefield population and regional specialist services across a wider geography.
