Primary P.E. Curriculum Lead (Full Time)

About us:

5Sport is a unique Sport and Physical Education provider founded in 2017 that promotes transferable life-skills through the 5Sport 'finger-prints' embedded in everything we deliver With a particular focus on Social Skills / Problem Solving / Resilience / Teamwork, we work with partner schools to deliver high-quality P.E.

and extra-curricular Sport that caters to the needs of every child whilst instilling a long-term love for being Physically active.

As well as our education provision we also deliver Holiday Camps, Clubs and parties from our very own Sports Park in Huddersfield.

This role in particular will play a vital role in our delivery to our School and other Educational partners in both Kirklees and Calderdale.

Reporting to the Managing Director

Base Location 5Sport Park, Unit 18, Bath Mills, Huddersfield, HD1 3PY

Offsite locations

Primary Schools across Kirklees and Calderdale

The Role:

Your role will not only involve the planning and delivery of our Physical Education units of work, and extra-curricular programmes but also incorporate the continuous review of our Education offering and the effectiveness of all programmes across our partnered schools

This will include:

Physical Education Curriculum Delivery
Extracurricular Sport sessions such as: lunch clubs and/or breakfast clubs and/or after school clubs
Organising Termly School Competitions / Events
Liaising with members of our P.E. Leads and Coaching team to enhance our effectiveness in this area.
Liaising with School Partners to monitor effectiveness and progress of the 5SportEducation programme in different settings.

Person Specification:

Qualifications_

BSc Degree in Sports Coaching or equiv. (Essential)
Driving Licence (Essential)
Enhanced DBS (Essential can be renewed)
Emergency First Aid and Safeguarding Qualifications (Essential can be renewed)
Level 2 Qualification in 1 or more NGB Sports (Desirable)

Knowledge / Experiences_

Coaching/Teaching sport and/or physical activity to a variety of stages and abilities (Essential)
Working in an Educational Setting (Essential)
Liaising with external organisations (Desirable)
Evaluating / upskilling others performance (Desirable)
Knowledge and Understanding of the National Curriculum and widerschool benefits for P.E., PA and School Sport. (Essential)
