Amour Recruitment are delighted to be working with a logistics group who are renowned as being a high-quality provider of transport solutions in the South Wales, Hampshire and North London areas.

They have recently become part of a larger group and are theprincipal business within the Service and Logistics Division. This enables them to deliver bespoke logistics solutions, which provide distinctvalue with measurable results.


We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Financial Controller to join this company at an exciting transformation phase and to work to drive modernisation and efficiency across the group.


  • Responsibilities Include:_
  • Preparation of individual subsidiaries monthly management accounts in accordance with group deadlines
  • Processing of monthly journals for all group companies
  • Collation of accounting information into daily/weekly and monthly group reporting packs
  • Management & development of the finance team currently 8 direct reports
  • Maintaining invoice discounting facilities for each subsidiary
  • Reconciliation of invoice discounting facilities
  • Managing payroll function for all group companies
  • VAT compliance for all group companies
  • Yearend processing in compliance with IFRS and preparation of audit schedules
  • Workshop stock monitoring
  • Fuel stock monitoring and purchasing
  • Management and review of overhead expenses
  • Automation of manual processes where possible
  • In order to be successful within this role you should have:_
  • Senior level accounting experience
  • Drive for Achievement
  • Strong Verbal and Written communication skills
  • Ambition to improve and drive forward own personal development
  • An infectious 'Can do' attitude
  • A willingness to travel to other UK sites within the group
  • Desirable:_


  • Accounting qualification

  • ACA, ACCA
  • A recognised degree
  • Industry sector experience


This role comes with a salary of up to £50,000 per annum dependent upon relevant experience, and will include occasional travel to other offices.
