Our Opportunity:

***- Are you an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor, looking to take the next step in your career?

  • Or are you a Senior Building Surveyor wanting to change roles and join a thriving multidisciplinary consultancy?
  • Due to continued and sustained expansion of our Building Surveying discipline, Pick Everard are looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor at our central London office. This role will see you delivering exciting projects across a range of sectors to include heritage, education, healthcare, commercial, central government, defence and retail.
  • You can expect to join a vibrant team and inclusive office, delivering a varied range of building surveying commissions, to include:
  • Building and acquisition surveys, measured building surveys, facet surveys, condition surveys and lifecycle maintenance planning
  • Building defect analysis
  • Historic building and heritage conservation
  • Expert witness services
  • Technical due diligence and Legislative compliance audits
  • Sustainability surveys

Key Responsibilities:


  • Run large, complex projects and monitor progress and expenditure
  • Plan and manage project resources
  • Assistance with bid process and business development activities
  • Prepare and oversee designs and reports and undertake surveys in accordance with firm's procedures
  • Represent the firm at client meetings, presentations, and develop and sustain client relationships
  • Monitor day to day programming and planning
  • Assist with planning and managing project resources including technical development of junior staff
  • Day to day control of internal costs including drafting fee invoices

About You:

***This role will suit a Building Surveyor who has strong experience working on a variety of projects within the built environment.


Key Requirements:


  • Chartered Surveyor with relevant experience
  • Excellent technical knowledge and good business development skills
  • Promotes best practice in survey and project delivery
  • Ability to manage, monitor and control workload and resource allocation
  • Ability to recognise own limitations and seek advice and support when needed
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks
  • Team player and motivated to deliver excellence
  • Ability to monitor progress and expenditure of projects
  • Undertaking relevant CPD activities, and keen to develop and progress
