Primary Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the AIT Operations Manager, the role will lead and oversee mechanical and electrical AIT activities to be performed within the scope of the Propulsion Competence Centre and will be responsible for:

  • Leading mechanical & electrical AIT operations in the clean room
  • Validation of the tooling and the MGSEs
  • Production preparation activities and providing technical assistance to production execution
  • Detailed production scheduling preparation
  • Assisting the APU manager to allocate resources, competencies for preparation & production phases
  • Accuracy of the quality and the manufacturing lead time
  • Contributing and assisting to design updates with Design Authority (MAR reviews)
  • Assisting IPE with process development when necessary
  • Assisting with Electrical process reviews
  • Coordinating new process introduction
  • Assisting with nonconformance management
  • Procurement support
  • Work Package management for Skills development plan which includes:
  • Skill Matrix
  • Processes
  • Training Plan
  • Training execution
  • Assist with management of curative and corrective routines
  • Contributing to definition and monitoring of objectives and ensuring ongoing optimisation in the perimeter (organisation, process, tools, practices, etc.)
  • Responsible for calibration and maintenance of all GSE (test equipment, lifting equipment etc.)
  • Assisting the APU Manager to perform and monitor HSE, 5S and FOD routines
  • Responsible for tool storage and tool logistics management
  • Responsible for POC and MOC monitoring of the cleanroom
  • Responsible for consumables and Kanban management
  • KPI data collection and reporting
  • Risk reduction

Key Responsibilities:


  • The role will lead and oversee mechanical and electrical AIT activities to be performed within the scope of the Propulsion Competence Centre

  • AIT Operations Manager for reporting line
  • APU Manager for the supervision of activities in the clean room
  • Head of Engineering and Head of Competence Centre for project status and escalation
  • Project Manager for delivery status
