The UCL Research Department of Epidemiology and Public Health houses approximately 140 staff divided across seven research groups. Our research focuses on a wide range of public health concerns. This post is based within the Central and Eastern European Research which is led by Professor Martin Bobak.

The main research agenda of the Group focuses on social, behavioural and biological determinants of health, cardiovascular diseases, other chronic diseases and ageing, with emphasis on the impact of societal transformation.

About the role:


The post-holder will actively participate in previously initiated work on an EU Horizon 2020 funded project focusing on environmental health in Central and Eastern Europe.

The post holder will contribute to maintaining and updating the existing HAPIEE cohort dataset for statistical analyses with the UCL group and will lead specific analyses of epigenetic and genetic data and manuscript preparations.


About you:

You will work in a small research group which leads to HAPIEE cohort study.

You will participate and contribute to original research; collaborate actively with members of the Project consortium and HAPIEE Study investigators, and their research teams and with other experts in the area of healthy ageing; be responsible for maintaining the HAPIEE cohort dataset and prepare the data for substantive analyses; and be responsible for leading analyses of epigenetic and genetic data in the consortium, including analyses of the associations of environmental exposures with epigenetic markers and other biomarkers.
