Senior Content and Marketing Officer


This is an exciting time for the organisation, and we are looking for an experienced marketer and digital content lead to join our small and busy team and support our varied marketing and content needs across the organisation.

Senior Content and Marketing Officer


Location:
Remote/Hybrid Warwick Occasional Travel to HQ in Warwick


Salary:
£35,000-£38,000 per annum depending on experience


Hours:
Full Time (35 hours per week)


Contract:
Permanent


Benefits: 10% pension contributions, 28 days' annual leave

The Role:


You will be instrumental in helping us to develop and optimise our digital marketing channels - ensuring that we have a strong channel strategy and supporting content strategy to grow engagement and drive our business objectives.

You will also lead content production for our channels - using your expertise and creative skills to tell stories and drive engagement for our campaigns in a compelling, audience-first, and channel-optimized way.


Key Responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities of the role holder are as outlined below:

  • Support the development and maintenance of the website
  • Update the website with relevant content and information
  • Lead on auditing the accessibility of their digital channels and putting accessible practices in place
  • Monitor and report on website performance and make recommendations on improvements and optimizations
  • Support other teams across the organisation with their web requirements
  • Respond to inquiries received via social media channels alongside Marketing and Communications Officer
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of social media content and channels, and make recommendations for improvements,
  • Set up and manage paid social media campaigns where required
  • Work with Media Agency to support the set up of paid social media campaigns
  • Working with the Head of Marketing and Brand, produce a content strategy and plan for digital channels
  • Work closely with the Stories Manager to create storybased content for use across our digital channels
  • Put together digital comms recommendations and plans for various crossorg campaigns, including brand and fundraising
  • Manage the comms briefing process, ensuring teams understand and are following the process
  • Working flexibly, prioritising workload, and working effectively as part of a team.
  • Adhere to relevant legislation, best practice, policies, and processes including, but not limited to charity law, the fundraising regulator, GDPR, and professional codes and standards.

About you:

To be successful in this role The Senior Content and Marketing you will be a creative, analytical, and self-motivated individual, with a passion for content creation and excellent experience managing digital marketing channels


You will have:


  • Sound knowledge and demonstrable experience in social media content creation and scheduling
  • Experience supporting multiple projects in a complex environment
  • Experience in website content creation, development, and analytics (e.g., 'WordPress)
  • Experience in national fundraising campaigns and marketing of events
  • Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to create an engaging long and shortform copy
  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe Editor, Canva, or other design software
  • Reporting and digital analytical skills and software experience
  • Experience in working in a team to support the delivery of team objectives.
  • Knowledge and experience of digital community platforms/community forums
