Audio Visual Software Programmer

Salary: £35k - £40k based on experience

The Role:
You need to be a first-class
Software Programmer, ensuring that all software is documented, produced, and archived with the utmost attention to detail and to the total satisfaction of the client.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, configure and maintain software coding, in a range of programming languages (including Crestron, AMX and Extron), which enables intuitive control of audio visual products in order to meet the specific requirements of the Company's clients.
- Create, modify and enhance highly professional touchpanel UXDs and GUIs adhering to the Company's design software specifications, standards, templates and timetables.
- Produce concise software control documentation.
- Maintain accurate software support documentation.
- Ensure all software generated is backed up and stored as appropriate.
- Configure and assign network addresses to AV devices in preparation for client installations.
- Update firmware on AV products and screens.
- Create detailed and robust software test documentation and then test each AV product's functionality in conjunction with this to ensure that it works as expected by the client.
- Attend client sites to assist the audio visual installations and testing as required.
- Create instruction manuals and software operating instructions for client use as required
- Ensure safe working conditions and safe working practices are adhered to at all times.
- Be knowledgeable on and conversant with the Company's portfolio of solutions and services.
- Prepare for and successfully complete all tests and examinations to achieve the required industry and Company accreditations.

- Maintain on a daily basis an uptodate record of all activities and contact with clients and prospects through the Company's CRM database.
Skills and Experience:
- You will have proven experience and have previously worked as a software programmer.
- Crestron, AMX and Extron experience
- Experience of working with touchpanel UXDs and GUIs
- Creating detailed and robust software test documentation
- Creating instruction manuals and software operating instructions
- You will have strong interpersonal skills,
- Be a good team player and have an eye for attention to detail.
