Description
We're looking for a Head of Support to join our hard-working, energetic and growing team. Based in central Bristol, our team works in an ever-evolving sustainability and ESG landscape.


This role will report into the CEO and work alongside the other Heads of Departments, with the aim of achieving the businesses ambitious 5-year growth strategy.

The Head of Support will have a heap of experience leading and managing technical / data teams.

You will be responsible for developing and managing a mixture of data analysts and technical specialists at a variety of levels.

You should have experience setting team targets and providing support to individuals in reaching their own goals. You will have expertise in engaging with different stakeholders, problem solving technical issues and identifying opportunities for technical enhancements.


Areas of role responsibility:


  • Team Management: Management of the client support team (CST) which provides comprehensive technical and data support to our clients, you will lead capacity management and resource allocation across all technical and data projects
  • Team Development: Setting a clear roadmap to develop and improve both the data and technical functions and create clear career pathways for your team
  • Cross Business Support: Instilling a sense of cross team and interdepartmental collaboration
  • Communication: Proficient communication with Clevel executives, conveying data and technical related concepts and insights
  • Project Management: Proficient in steering project management, planning, and followup and issue analysis as well as organising regular internal sprint and project review meetings across a wide variety of clients and project types
  • Technical Management: Internal system and process guides ownership as well as design and delivering software training (internal and external)
  • Knowledge sharing: Ensure the client knowledgebase is always up to date with client processes

Essential Experience:


  • Several years' experience in enterprise technical / data management systems
  • Working knowledge of software implementation projects and management
  • Experience managing and developing a team of 4+ data analysts and technical specialists
  • Strong numeracy skills, an eye for detail with an expert level of skills in MS Excel
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in various aspects of data, including planning, framework development, mapping, principles, governance, path optimization, strategic implementation, scope management, matrix analysis, modelling, data quality assurance, and master data management
  • Proven high level of customer service
  • A professional and enthusiastic work ethic with a keen interest in continuous improvement
  • Experience in capacity management, project resource allocation, identifying areas of resource growth and being involved in recruitment
  • Experience with helpdesk support platforms such as Basecamp, JIRA etc Accountability for proactive management of Jira service desk system
  • Skilled in risk monitoring, scope definition, and adjustment to ensure successful project outcomes
  • A history and/or interest in working across environmental/sustainability sectors

Additional desirable (but not essential) traits:

  • Qualifications in sustainability or data such as MSc, IEMA, Apprenticeship etc
  • Qualification relating to Microsoft Engineer
  • Experience using and/or working with EHS/ESG data management systems (e.g. Enablon, UL, CR360 or similar)
  • Knowledge of data extraction and visualisation techniques and tools such as Power BI would be an advantage

Package :


  • Salary Expectation: £48,000 £55,000
  • Flexible hybrid working between home and central Bristol office 2 days minimum required in the office
