THE ROLE


WiseEnergy is a trusted and established solar asset manager, offering all the services clients require to manage and optimise large-scale solar plants, from development and construction through to long-term operational asset management.

We have an exciting opportunity for a debt management specialist to support the delivery of loan compliance services to the clients.


The role is to lead relationship with lenders and manage the debt facilities of funds (listed and private) that invest in Solar PV Assets in the UK and internationally.


The Debt Management Specialist is expected to be able to undertake, for both construction and operational management of solar plants, the responsibilities outlined below with minimum supervision.


Extensive knowledge of financial modelling is required, with experience in managing and updating bank models, and strong financial analysis skills.

The role holder will be comfortable working with project finance and other debt facility agreements, audited financial accounts, management accounts and financial forecasts.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ownership of responsibility for loan facility periodic reporting and covenant compliance.
  • Acting as lead contact for debt related matters internally and externally.
  • Interpreting complex financing documents (facility agreements, security documents, accounts agreements) and advising internally on requirements and restrictions.
  • Updating bank financial models and calculating financial ratios for covenant compliance.
  • Preparing waiver and consent requests, as well as event driven lender communications.
  • Coordinating internal providers of inputs (e.g., financial controllers, engineers, PPA teams) to consolidate information on asset performance for timely lender reporting.
  • Participating in periodic meetings and providing status updates on debt related matters.
  • Managing relationship with lenders, legal advisors as well as external clients.
  • Providing support to Investment teams on analysis of debt facilities and adhoc requirements (e.g., facility amendments, renewal, refinancing).
  • Work in conjunction with Fund Management teams on market reporting requirements.
  • Calculating distributions and undertaking sensitivity analysis on fund dividend cover.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or master's degree. Attained or progressing a finance related Professional Qualification (ex. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA) is a plus.
  • 46 years in a similar role as a financial advisor, bank / other financial institution or asset manager (required) covering renewable energies market (desirable).
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft packages (with key focus on Excel) with the ability to learn quickly other relevant systems.
  • Knowledge of Italian or Spanish is a plus.
  • The right to work in the UK.
