Here at Rylands, we have a fantastic team of carers who offer our residents the best possible personal care. We are looking to expand this team with more individuals who are naturally caring and compassionate. Applicants must be over 18. Hourly rate applies to over 21s. (Rate for under 21s permanent staff £11.54 per hour)
Find below some of the key roles included with this position:

  • Help patients to eat and drink
  • Help patients to access and use the toilet facilities.
  • Help patients to maintain their personal hygiene and appearance.
  • Help patients to be comfortable.
  • Help patients to mobilise as planned.
  • Promote, monitor and maintain cleanliness in the workplace.
  • Receive transmit, store and retrieve information.
  • Support patients in transfer between care environments.
  • Contribute to maintaining the supply of materials and equipment.
  • Develop and promote effective communication and relationships.
  • Support patients when distressed.
  • Contribute to the care of a deceased person.
  • All actions undertaken will be consistent with the patient's multi -disciplinary plan of care, including all correct moving and handling procedures.
  • Care will be carried out under the supervision / direction of a registered nurse.
  • Rylands Nursing Homes, guidelines and protocols will be adhered to.
  • Any adverse effects or progress made by the patient will be reported accurately to the appropriate team member.
  • Patients will be supported and encouraged to contribute to own care within their own limits of ability, maximising self-respect and dignity and consistent with their own care plan.
  • All patients will be communicated with in an appropriate manner.

Pay:
£11.54-£11.94 per hour
