Introduction:


Our stores team in the Boeing London Gatwick Hangar & MRO is growing and we are looking for a motivated, engaged and efficient lead hand join our team.


Your role is critical to support the Boeing London Gatwick Part-145 maintenance operation and the wider Boeing network and customers base, with respect to the tool and GSE related support and oversight.


It is an exciting time to join as our operation grows and you will be integral to ensure that as part of the wider operational support team and under your guidance, the stores team deliver an outstanding and compliant service.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to team briefs and assign tasks as required to meet the day to day operational performance targets set by the stores supervisor.
  • Deputise for the Supervisor as required.
  • Coach, develop and provide guidance to your team, supporting relevant training and capability reviews.
  • Work as part of the store keeping team if required or workload dictates.
  • Ensure good storekeeping practices and quality standards are maintained to a high level at all times.
  • Ensure guidance to the team regarding the safe handling and transportation of materials in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for compliance with Health & Safety, environment and quality legislation.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • Exercise personal responsibility and reasonable care in preventing harm to yourself and others by ensuring that safe working practices are observed at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement and business process changes

Qualifications:


  • Have a working knowledge of Part 145 Store Keeping requirement
  • Knowledge of supply chain, logistics and Engineering business awareness.
  • Experienced in stores processes and procedures (essential).
  • People and Team management skills.
  • Already hold or ability to obtain an Airside Pass and Airside Driving Permit (with training).
  • Ability to understand and deliver to operational targets.
  • Effective verbal & written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to interpret spreadsheets and performance data.
  • IT literate and experienced in the use of AMOS (desirable).
  • Legislative awareness of quality, health and safety and environment requirements.
  • Understanding of audit & audit functions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to work a shift pattern.
  • Must have excellent organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • At least 2 years' experience working in a Warehouse / Store environment (desirable)
  • Previous experience of using Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and ability to learn in house systems.
