On behalf of Lloyds Banking Group, AMS are looking for a
Finance Manager for a
6 months based in
Bristol (twice a month in the office).



Purpose of the Finance Manager Role:

Working with a small sub team to conduct financial reporting test execution/validation, as part of a large policy admin system migration programme.

Also supporting in developing test design and development of processes post migration to implement into BAU.


The role will likely also entail work across more than one Change project, so will include a variety of other accounting Change activity such as other system migrations / harmonisations, working with projects and business SMEs to agree scope, requirementsanalysis and business solution design.


As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting testing activities to ensure quality end deliverables that meet expectations.
  • Significant data analysis: using a keen eye for detail and challenging anomalies in order to sufficiently provide assurance over system migration testing
  • Supporting implementation activities (including reconciliations) to ensure a smooth transition process.

Domain Knowledge:

Develops good knowledge across a number of individual business/product areas, understanding interdependency and the impact of change to provide informed consultancy advice, independent review and quality assurance.


  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain networks with a diverse group of stakeholders to influence and support the delivery of change and supports the business analysis function.

Manages, motivates and develops assigned team members to create a high performing team.

  • Requirements Elicitation: Leads, designs and facilitates business engagements to establish scope, business needs, project objectives, outcomes and expectations on business processes.
  • Requirements Development: Works with business analysis team to ensure that quality business requirements are produced, accepted and approved by the key stakeholder and business solution designs can deliver effectively.
  • Requirements Management: Oversees end to end traceability against quality business requirements using appropriate tools and templates.
  • Solution Assessment & Validation: Engages with key stakeholders to influence the solution design to meet business goals, scope and strategy requirements. Provides input into the identification and delivery of project business outcomes and benefits, traceabilityof requirements and impact of solutions. Develops cross business and service user communications, acceptance test plans and supports testing and implementation.
  • Risk: Continuously monitors change for business analysis risk issues and regulatory compliance and takes appropriate steps to mitigate.
  • Group Values: Positively influences others by demonstrating Lloyds Banking Group values and behaviour and encourages this in team members.
  • Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant with relevant experience
  • Insurance and Migration Project Background
  • Knowledge of life assurance Finance processes, including Financial Reporting/General Ledger/Balance Sheet, plus potentially Forecasting, Tax, Accounts Payable, Cash Management (banking)
  • Experience of working in large projects/change, rather than just BAU activities
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Excellent Project management skills with attention to details
  • Excellent Systems skills such as access database
  • Ledger Oracle Fusion and SAP experience would be desirable
  • Experience of a policy admin system migration would be desirable (e.g. product/scheme migration from historic legacy system to web based platform)
