Job summary
We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our BP Net Zero project based in Teesside.We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage all costs relating to projects within various sectors. The role will involve managing commercial teams and reporting directly or indirectly to the Commercial Manager or above. This is a full time hybrid role with three days per week working from site in Lazenby. The ideal candidate should have relevant degree qualifications such as quantity surveying construction management equivalent experience of working in commercial roles ideally within the energy sector financial acumen practical approach logical thought process methodical way of working creative innovative problem solving skills office management systems technical minute taking contractual meetings document control distribution drafting contractual correspondence payment certificates interim financial reports financial closeout reports lead develop efficient effective management accurate timely compliant notices correspondence identification of contractual and commercial risks opportunities Project Director Manager maintaining registers variations delay extension times claims consistent implementation Company's policies procedures preparation monthly progress valuations claim work completed liaison Customer's commercial team pre Contract tender negotiations reports necessary produce monthly cost reports forecasts Contract Budget reviews value management advise Risk Management prepare review complete sub contract documentation plan change cost control prepare agree interim applications payment final accounts sub contractor manage subcontracts initial placement order final account monitor update Procurement Plan Sub contract procurement analysing comparisons produce requisition award letters reconcile weekly plant material labour reconciliation budget
