We are seeking a Finance Assistant for immediate employment to join our friendly head office team based in Watford.


This is an exciting role, ideal for someone passionate about developing a career in finance or suitable for someone returning to work.


You will be working for a charity that never stops caring for its animals and people, striving to give every animal the best chance of finding a new home.

Operating five rehoming centres and three shops across the south of England, we are committed to improving the lives of the UK's pets, helping around 1,500 animals each year.

Finance Assistant


Location:
Head Office based, Watford WD25 8WT (hybrid working available)


Salary:
£9,069 per annum (£10.90 per hour)


Hours:
Part-time, 16 hours per week (working pattern can be flexible)


About the role:


Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be required to make appropriate accurate entries, supporting them in ensuring a smooth running of key aspects of the finance function.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:


  • Maintenance of the purchase ledger and credit account reconciliations;:

Suppliers account reconciliation;:

Preparation of bills for payments;:


  • Related administrative assignments that are required for the effective delivery of responsibilities within the finance function.

About you:


To excel in this role, you will be self-motivated, keen to learn, able to work efficiently to meet deadlines with an analytical mind and strong attention to detail.

You will possess good overall IT skills, including Microsoft Office, especially excel with a working knowledge of Sage accounts.


You will have a positive and proactive approach to work, providing good customer service and be an excellent team player.
