£12.00 per hour as from 1st December


We are looking for a Deputy Security Contracts Manager to join our team based in The York Hospital Trust, Covering York & Scarborough Hospitals.

You will help maintain a safe and secure environment for visitors and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel, protect our premises, assets and personnel while maintaining high visibility, presence to prevent all illegal or inappropriateactions.

You will also help manage a team of security officers and support the Security Contract manager.

Main duties and responsibilities
Deputising for the Security Contracts Manager in his absence.
Staff Rota's, (experience working with Timegate would be advantageous) Understanding of Microsoft Excel essential.
Helping to carryout full onboarding, induction an ongoing training.
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment. Ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
Being part of the daily/nightly security team (working shifts)
Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities. Monthly security risk management reporting
Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, procedures, first aid, data protection, disability and other relevant legislation involving security personnel
Always taking initiative with mínimal supervision by ensuring protective and preventative risk measures and controls are in place
Maintaining organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
A strong, driven personality is essential with a flexible approach towards work

To succeed in this role, you will need

Full UK driving license is essential as you will be required to drive with this role using your own vehicle.

SIA Certified - Door Supervisor and Public space CCTV license required
Experience in security supervisory role is essential for this position
Strong communication skill, both written and verbal, written, drafting as well as other based reporting systems. With the ability to convey clear messages to various and diverse audiences
Cultural awareness and an appreciation of diversity
Strong training and development capabilities
Flexibility and taking responsibility
Ability to tackle and resolve conflict by dealing with problems from start to end resulting in a" win win" situation
Goal orientated, must have the ability to organise own workload effectively
Compliance and maintaining proactive measures
Excellent team management and leadership skills
